Nikos Iatropoulos – Regional Partner, Kairos Ventures

Nikos is responsible for all fund activities in the Central U.S. In addition, Nikos leads firmwide transaction execution and is in charge of regulatory compliance.

Prior to Kairos, Nikos was the CEO of Lingospot, an enterprise software company he co-founded. Under his leadership, Lingospot became a key provider of semantic search and machine learning technologies to some of the world’s largest media and technology companies, including Bloomberg, Forbes, Time Inc., Intel, Sky,, USA Today, Gannett, McClatchy and many others. Lingospot was acquired by Piksel in 2016.

Prior to Lingospot, Nikos was the founding CEO of Upstream, a global mobile marketing company with over $100M in revenue and 65M subscribers in 43 countries. He was also the founder of Snack TV, led the global launch of RCS Mobile (acquired by Clear Channel), and has served on the Boards or advised several digital media companies including Behavioral Signals, Out There Media, NCI Mobility (acquired by InTouch), Hi-Tide Media and Event Now. Nikos is also a Judge for the MIT $100K Competition, a Mentor for the Columbia University Entrepreneurship Coaches Network and a Judge for the Columbia University Venture Competition.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Columbia University and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
