Students talking in Innovation Center

Established in January 2020, the Texas Innovation Center is the hub at The University of Texas at Austin for bringing engineering and science discoveries and technologies to the market.

The center is part of the Cockrell School of Engineering and collaborates with the College of Natural Sciences and the Discovery to Impact team, which are stakeholders in supporting technology commercialization at UT Austin.

While the center’s primary focus is STEM faculty and graduate students, we welcome collaboration with other areas of campus and opportunities to work synergistically across the Forty Acres.

To create and foster a community and culture for collaborative research and entrepreneurship in support of technology commercialization.

The Texas Innovation Center provides the resources needed to support the movement of new ideas and inventions into thriving businesses that successfully access the marketplace while preparing innovators to succeed in a global economy.
