Texas Innovation Center is a destination for entrepreneurs on the Forty Acres interested in turning their discoveries into impactful startups. Our co-working space features:
- Open desks
- Two conference rooms
- A state-of-the-art video conferencing room for working on ventures and hosting meetings
Inside, we provide workshops, speaker series, and coaching sessions on technology commercialization to develop skills and knowledge for growing and scaling startups.
The Texas Innovation Center is headquartered in the corridor connecting Ernest Cockrell Jr. Hall (ECJ) and the Engineering Education and Research Center (EER) across from O’s Cafe.
We are open from 9:00AM – 4:00PM, Monday through Friday.
The Space is bookable for UT Austin faculty, researchers and graduate students Monday through Friday. To reserve space, please fill out the TXIC Spaces Reservation Form.

The Innovation Lab
The Innovation Lab, located at the J.J. Pickle Campus in North Austin, in the EME Building, serves as a cutting-edge incubator for materials science innovation. The lab is equipped with (8) 12-foot lab benches and 21 feet of shared chemical fume hoods for early-stage startups to de-risk their technology toward a minimum viable product or proof-of-concept embodiment. The Space is available to startups that have a license agreement with UT Austin. New IP created here will belong to the startup company.
